It’s an all-women multi-nation multidisciplinary expedition snorkelling with orca and humpback during the winter herring run in the Arctic fjords near Tromso, Norway. She is also a Volunteer Speaker for Whale & Dolphin Conservation UK, giving talks for the charity at various groups to spread information about the charity’s work with cetaceans and help raise funds.

Phil Wickens - Expedition Leader / Cameraman / Photographer / Lecturer
With a PhD in biology from Imperial College London and over twenty years experience of working in the polar regions, Phil has a passion for combining science and education with adventure.

His work has ranged from looking after scientists and support staff deep in the heart of Antarctica and during the long Antarctic winter, to guiding tourists on hiking trips in polar bear country, to public speaking about the history of exploration and the geology and glaciology of the polar regions.

Formerly a Vice-President of the Alpine Club, he continues to organise and lead several expeditions every year, with a particular focus on yacht-based Antarctic skiing and mountaineering. Having summited over eighty different Antarctic mountains - many previously unclimbed - and spent over 700 days skiing in Antarctica, he is undoubtedly one of the most experienced Antarctic expedition guides in the world.
